We drank Champagne whilst getting ready to go for our meal at the Italian restaurant “Stranded”. The food was delicious and the company even better. We made many new friends and sung many old London till 11pm.

We could not believe our eyes at the number of people trying to make their way to The Emabankment for the fireworks display at the London Eye. We had been invited to join our American Red Hat Sisters at their hotel, The Horseguards which is opposite The London Eye. Many roads had been closed and we could not get through. Finally we had a police escort and arrived at 11:40, just enough time to enjoy the unlimited Champagne, jazz band and best of all the fireworks.

We watched the display from the hotel balcony, it was amazing.
