Brighton Belles First Anniversary Celebrations

April 25th is The Red Hat Society Birthday. The dis-organization was nine years old this year. The Brighton Belles also celebrated their First Anniversary.

We went to Bramber, where Christine who owns The Castle Hotel organized a luncheon for us all. Jean made us two beautiful Birthday Cakes, which we had for sweet. The Argus newspaper photographer came along and took some photographs of us. The weather was glorious. Dot brought many red and purple object to decorate the room, so along with the balloons and napkins, the room looked fantastic. The food was scrummy, we could hardly move afterwards.

Many thanks to Christine and Wendy who did a lot of work behind the scences. Thank you ladies.

Here is the whole group. I was allowed to wear red with lots of purple on my hat as it was my birthday month. This is the photo that was published in the Argus. Maggie, Kate, Jean, Queen Helen, Christine, Jill & Betty

The Red Hat cake was chocolate, and the white cake was vanilla sponge. Beautifully made by Jean Rowland.

As you can see we are all having a good time. Elaine, nearest the camera came as as guest, she stays with Linda. More fun and friviloty during the afternoon.
