The Brighton Belles were invited to be part of the Founders Day celebrations, at The Royal Hospital Chelsea. Over the past 2 years we have forged strong links with the hospital and many of the In-Pensioners.

Royal Hospital Founder's Day is held on a day close to the 29th May. This is the birthday of Charles II as well as the date of his restoration as King in May 1660. It is also known as Oak Apple Day as it commemorates the escape of the future King Charles after the Battle of Worcester (1651) when he hid in an oak tree to avoid capture by the Parliamentary forces'.

We felt Honoured to be part of this prestigious day and met many famous people.

Our thanks to The Royal Hospital Chelsea.
