| On Friday 11th May Jill organized
a Visit for us to Brighton Museum and afterwards for ameal at Fat
Leo's, Italian Restaurant.
Brighton Museum & Art Gallery has been
transformed by a £10 million redevelopment. Dynamic and
innovative new galleries provide greatly improved access to the
Museum's nationally and locally important collections. Objects are
displayed in stimulating contexts with a wide range of
interpretative techniques, including the latest interactive
information technology.
The Museum has worked with community groups
to broaden access to its collections and services. A Hindu shrine
in the World Art gallery created with the local Gujarati
community, and oral histories of local people are examples of
these collaborations.
After our tour of the musuem we walked
throught the lanes to Fat Leo' Italian Restaurant. The service was
excellent, they could not do enough for us. Well worth another
visit.
