Thursday 16th June VQ June, Lady Fizz, Helen B, Betty C, Jean ,
Carole and myself met Carole who was visiting relatives in the
south. She had come to the end of a whistle stop tour of the
British Isles and was returning home the next day. We met at
Wetherspoons at the Marina. We had a lovely meal and lots of of
fun.
We also met
another couple from Australia who had emigrated in the 50s when
all it cost was £10. They are called the "Ten Pound Poms".
They have moved back to the UK and had just bought a boat at the
Marina. We hope they will keep in touch with us.
